Wet and Wild with Nic Ross*!

T-MINUS

  • 20 minutes (for the Water Babes...)

Cities on the trip?

  • Newcastle, Durham...

Sightseeing

  • Nic in his speedos.

Travel Info

  • NPR is leaving the Physics department at 16:30 in order to be at the train station at 1700 hours.
  • Train. 17:08 from Durham. We're aiming to get the "Evening Special" prices which start at 5:30pm.
  • Google Maps link
  • Percy Main Metro
  • On return from Wet N Wild, get off at MANORS metro station for the Quayside.

Soggy gear

  •
  • Gaz has very kindly offered his pad on the Quayside as a place that we can leave wet swimming cossies, speedos, towels etc.
  • Or you can dump bags in Rich's car (which will be in parked near Wet 'n' Wild) from where they'll be transported back to the department on Saturday.

Getting Home

Right. A large taxi/minivan is booked for 02:10am from the Quayside. The flatrate for this is £50.

However, there are (only) 8 spaces. These would provisionally be for 1) NPR, 2) JPS, 3) CMB, 4) CT, 5) KC, 6) JEG, 7) MAN (tbc), 8) (tbc).

We'll probably also need to book one normal taxi tomorrow (Friday) daytime, but this should be fine (will probably be about 30 quid oneway).

(Gaz, Mike R and Becky live in Newcastle).

Confirmed Water-babes: (The Advanced Party) :

Confirmed Killjoys (The Yanks, 2i/c JPS):

  • JPS (2i/c)
  • Craig (sorry guys! I need to be home tonight) - Gutted. They're starting to drop like flies...
  • Gaz
  • Greg
  • David W.
  • Zoe
  • Mike R.
  • Becky
  • Raul

Killjoy Plan (The Yanks, 2i/c JPS)

  • Meet up with the chlorine encrusted revellers at 8.30pm at Rumpolis on the quayside for 8.30pm under the name of "Nic".
  • We'll be getting the 19:16 train from durham station and will head to the quayside for a pre dinner drinky. Meet at station.

(Doubtful) Very Special Guest Appearance:

  • Dr. Anthony M. Brown

Sustenance

I have booked a table for twelve (12) at Rumpolis for 8.30pm under the name of

"Nic". Looking at the (ever growing) list of names, we might need a couple more spaces but we'll deal with that nearer the time.

(The Disciples so far; NPR, JPS, GTD, DAW, CT, GJ, KC, JEG, Mike R, Becky, RA, Zoe)
